Exodus 33:11 & 33:20
- And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend…
- And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
The Sight of God, if you get the chance to see Him, it causes you to die. This is hard to consider since he comes to visit a lot of people over a lot of different times indicating that perhaps it is two different people? Or that he doesn’t want to be seen by Moses for some reason?
This is strong evidence that there is more than one God. And does this God not want to be seen and will kill anyone who sees Him, or can be Gods be different and the sight of Him causes death?
. Exodus 20:18
- And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
I was a little worried that not seeing God would bring into question whether he was actually there. This removes the doubt he was there, he would have to have another reason that people could not see one, a question that he does not answer.
